Day 3/Day 4
Monday was the hardest yoga session I've had yet. Within a few postures my limbs turned to lead, and my muscles threatened to collapse. I paid my dues in buckets of sweat, but I made it through, and in the end felt pretty good.
Then came the nuts. I made myself a nut shake for Tuesday's breakfast from a recipe in an allergy book I've been reading, and within 5 hours my digestive system was down and taking my mind with it, leaving me essentially useless. I wasn't able to make it to yoga, and by Wed morning I was feeling it.
Yesterday I returned after an afternoon session, and had a surprisingly good practice. I'm only 4 classes in and I'm already seeing improved flexibility, balance, and endurance. I'm feeling looser, stronger, and clearer-headed. Even my digestion - the bane of my existence - seems improved. There is no way I can currently afford it, but there is no way I can afford not to do it. I reached a decision recently that cost can no longer be an object in the pursuit of wellness and health, and yoga is seeming to be an integral part of that for me.
